Belly photos

I wish I had my pregnancy photos from River online. They are so starkly different this time around. I’m a bit heavier this time around, but my belly seriously popped out so much faster this time!

And just because its too cute to pass up, here is a photo of River and Milo as we found them asleep one night:

I am almost 19 weeks now, and another picture is in order. My belly just keeps growing! The fact that all of my belly shots have me in my pjs? It hasn’t gone unnoticed by me. I’m hoping to remedy this, likely by having River take pictures of me during the day time.

Peru on Picasa

For those with some time to kill, here are all 454 photos from our trip to Peru.  I have some of them titled and explained, finally.

Enjoy!

Christmas in July

Milo

Milo

This is a cat who, just hours earlier, had his testicles removed. Poor thing. He’s back to himself today, oblivious that he need not worry any longer fathering babies now!

decorated chard

While out in the garden yesterday, River spotted one of the chard plants that had began to go to seed. Somehow, this looked like a Christmas tree to him. When he came to me in the kitchen asking for our Christmas decorations, I couldn’t even imagine what had brought those to his mind. He directly brought in the chard plant that he’d cut and asked if I would use duct tape to make it stand up. I obliged him by bring 3 or 4 lightweight decorations out of the garage. So, we have our July Christmas tree.

Lunch!

Lunch

Polenta fries. They look greasy, but in reality they are practically fat free; just baked in the oven and glossy.

I walked into the bathroom just a few minutes ago to find River giving his baby doll a bath.

Not a very good picture of me, but worthy of posting, since River actually got my head into the photo. It’s usually just a body shot.

Knitting revival and my photographer

The colder weather really gets my hands anxious to start knitting. I haven’t really done much knitting in the last few months at all, but in the last 2 weeks, I have already finished a pair of felted clogs (slippers) for River, and a hat of sorts for myself. My 3rd project is underway even. The lovely wool makes me want to knit beautiful things for everyone I know. lol!

Here is a photo of the “hat” (headband) that I just finished for myself.

It is the Calorimetry pattern from Knitty, using Nashua Wooly Stripes, Ocean colorway. It was so enjoyable to knit up.

There wasn’t quite enough yarn to finish the pattern properly, so about 3/4 of the way though, I made some improvisations so that I could finish (I just had one ball). This is why it doesn’t look symmetrical, as the pattern intended. It still works, though.

Here is a drawing that River drew of me, “milkies” and all.

And, some photos which River took on his own:
